Welder/boilermaker

Details: Busy engineering company situated in picturesque, country South Australia requires Boilermakers/Welders to work in their Port Pirie workshop manufacturing medium equipment for the rail and smelter industries. Welding applicants need to work to AS 1554 – BS 4872. Boilermakers will be workshop based and be proficient in plate development, including preparation and assembly – with plate 3-75mm. You should be able to read workshop drawings, to work with limited supervision, demonstrate initiative and help with decision-making on the shop floor. Minimum 38 hours – overtime available to 50 hours per week. Normal time workshop hours: Mon- Thurs 7.30-4.00, Fri 7.30-1.30 Plus overtime Base pay rate is $25 per hour plus penalties; this is negotiable depending on individual applicant. Included in the above rate fully furnished accommodation conveniently located within 20 minutes walk of work, close to shops, and the beach. Situated two hours from Adelaide, on the edge of the Flinders Ranges and close to pristine fishing spots, Port Pirie is a friendly city offering affordable cost of living with outstanding services and facilities.
